Poem

All That is Gold Does Not Glitter

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

So.....

Ya...
so...

First line: You can't judge a book by it's cover. The person really is good, but they might not look it.

Second line: They may look lost, but there really is a method to the seemingly madness.

Third Line: The older they are, the wiser they get. (Proverbs 16:31-Gray hair is a crown of splendor;
it is attained by a righteous life)

Fourth Line: Deep roots would be a long life. The frost was something to fear back then.

Fifth Line: The person is like a phoenix-they are going to do better now that some big event has occured.

Sixth Line:

All That is Gold Does Not Glitter

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;

Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king

2.
3. Arwen
4.
5. As all of the things stated in the first four lines are true, the blade that was broken will be renewed and the crownless shall be king. Also, the renewing of the blade and the king are signs of light, hope, and power in the darkness.
6.
7. It is the prophecy of Aragorn becoming king and the blade broken by Sauron being forged again. Outside of Lord of the Rings, it represents that because so many simple and spontaneous things occur naturally, other spontaneous things can also occur, and people can do spontaneous things.
8. Initially, the poem is a series of statements and could contain a monotone or slight sorrow. Then, the tone changes to be hopeful as something seemingly impossible will happen.
